What if karma isn’t cosmic balance—but a trap designed to keep souls reincarnating?
Karma is sold to us as cosmic balance: what we put out comes back to us.
But the law of cause and effect—not karma—is the omniversal principle. Every action, choice and intention sets something in motion, altering both your internal state and the reality you interact with, which in turn produces corresponding effects. The consequence is inherent in the cause. It is a neutral chain of causation. Whereas, karma takes that causal principle and extends it into a moral doctrine of retributive consequences.
One of the Matrix’s strategies is to counterfeit original concepts that resonate with souls, then hijack and distort them to serve its own agenda.
I believe that karma is the Matrix’s distortion of the natural law of cause and effect.
The Akashic Records became its moral authority, with their so-called divine scribes—most notably, the Egyptian god Thoth and Archangel Metatron—as its karmic administrators: externally monitoring the transgressions of souls across incarnations, conducting the spiritual accounting in calculating karmic debts and supervising the karmic lessons and experiences through which those debts must supposedly be repaid.
And this is where cosmic balance becomes karmic entrapment.
Because, as I will explore, the Akashic Records don’t just keep a karmic ledger—they weaponise it to entrap souls both between incarnations and within them.
Along with soul evolution, karmic resolution is one of the central doctrines the Akashic Records use to justify reincarnation. But to determine the karma, the system needs to know everything you have done.
And according to Akashic teachings, it does.
Akasha is Sanskrit for aether—the fifth cosmic element, a subtle medium said to permeate all space. So when you look across what appears to be an empty room, that space isn’t empty at all. You are immersed in and interfacing with the Akashic Field, where everything that happens—internally and externally—leaves an energetic imprint recorded in the Akashic Records.
Every action. Every word. Every interaction. But also every thought, emotion, intention and desire. The Records don’t just know what you did. They know what was going on inside you when you did it.
This becomes your Akashic Record—which, given what it contains and how it is used, begins to feel like a criminal record: a permanent spiritual dossier that follows you across incarnations.
And presiding over this Orwellian surveillance system are the aforementioned divine scribes—Thoth and Archangel Metatron.
Thoth, the ancient Egyptian god of writing and wisdom, was the scribe of the gods and recorder of human deeds, appearing in scenes of the judgement of the dead as the heart is weighed against the feather of Ma’at. Metatron, emerging much later within Jewish mystical traditions, became known as the heavenly scribe, similarly associated with maintaining a celestial record of human deeds.
And this is where recording becomes judgement. These divine scribes aren’t presented merely as witnesses to the soul’s history, but as the authorities that interpret it and adjudicate its liabilities.
The Akashic Record becomes the evidence. Karma becomes the charge. And karmic resolution becomes the sentence.
But look at how fundamentally dysfunctional—and inherently unfair—the system of incarnation and karmic resolution actually is.
You incarnate to repay karmic debts you can’t remember incurring, because you enter each incarnation with amnesia. You’re apparently here to learn from previous mistakes while being denied any conscious memory of what those mistakes were. You cannot meaningfully learn from something you cannot remember.
And you’re expected to clear that karma through another lifetime of choices, relationships, conflicts and consequences—likely entering with baked-in adversity intended to resolve previous karma, but which may itself predispose you to accumulating even more. It becomes a vicious circle: the very conditions prescribed to clear the debt can become the conditions through which you incur more of it.
That isn’t a system designed to clear the debt. It’s a system where the debt keeps renewing the sentence.
Although I remain dubious about the veracity of near-death experiences and pre-birth memories, I don’t doubt the sincerity of those reporting them. I question whether what they experienced was necessarily what it appeared to be—or whether some experiences could be staged as spiritual propaganda and misdirection. Yet that aside, the formula of false light is to wrap the lie in truths so it resonates with souls, which is why the recurring patterns interest me and feel relevant to this topic.
Across many accounts, souls describe participating in life reviews in which omnipresent, seemingly omniscient footage of their lives is played across panoramic screens, disproportionately showcasing their worst deeds, bitterest regrets and the suffering they caused others—while being made to viscerally re-experience the human emotions of those affected by their actions.
The Akashic Records and New Age spirituality frame this as self-judgement and an exercise of the soul’s free will—but how free is that will when the conditions under which it is exercised have already been so heavily loaded? Souls are then guided by councils to interpret what they have witnessed as evidence of spiritual inadequacy, unfinished lessons and karmic debt, with that debt used to justify both another incarnation and the particular challenges, pain, trauma and suffering supposedly required to resolve it
What might otherwise appear punitive is given spiritual legitimacy through karma, as the necessary suffering that the soul itself chose for its resolution and evolution.
The Reincarnation Trap hypothesis —or, as I prefer to call it, the reincarnation scam —cuts through this spiritual spin: what if soul evolution and karmic resolution aren’t the purpose of reincarnation, but the justification for it—with karma used to hook and coerce souls into reincarnating.
When I scrutinised the logic, I came to the same conclusion: reincarnation requires soul evolution and karmic resolution to legitimise the repeated recycling, exploitation and energetic harvesting of souls within the Matrix. I explore this further in Earth School or Thought Prison? And in Reincarnation, Reincarceration.
The Akashic Records hold not only the evidence used to establish your karmic debt, but through invasive 24/7 surveillance and data mining, build an intimate profile of you as a soul—your pressure points, vulnerabilities and behavioural patterns.
And, ultimately, how to play you.
Because the Records don’t just collect this data. They model it. By analysing your experiences, choices and responses, they can build a predictive model of you—anticipating how you are likely to behave, what you are likely to choose and which levers are most likely to influence you. The system determining what you allegedly owe therefore also possesses the intelligence required to know how best to secure your compliance.
And if both karma and the data from the Akashic Records are mechanisms used to keep souls recycling, what does that tell us about the true function—and allegiance—of the system administering reincarnation itself?
The conflicts of interest are glaring. The Records administer the reincarnation system, control the evidence used to establish the karmic case for your return, provide the authorities who interpret that evidence, and possess the predictive intelligence to influence your decision. If continued reincarnation serves a Matrix imperative to keep souls recycling, and the Akashic Records administer and facilitate that process, how can we trust the integrity of the Records, the impartiality of their administrators—or the claim that this system exists to serve the soul at all?
And this is where the stakes become personal. As souls, we are creator beings whose beliefs manifest the reality we experience—and belief itself can be exploited by the Matrix as a form of energetic consent.
To believe in karma is to believe you can owe a karmic debt. To believe in the authority of the Akashic Records is to believe they have the right to determine what you owe. And by accepting both as truth, you potentially grant that system, through your own energetic consent, jurisdiction over you as a soul.
That is karmic entrapment between incarnations. But if you still have doubts about how corrupt the Akashic Records are—and how pernicious the concept of karma itself is—consider this: they don’t only use karmic entrapment to recycle souls into another incarnation. They can use it to entrap them within the incarnation they’re already in—by falsifying incarnational histories to serve their agenda with a soul.
The memory wipe souls undergo prior to incarnation gives the Records enormous power. Awakening souls want to remember who they are, and the Akashic Records have been marketed as the sacrosanct, trusted repository of exactly that information: where you came from, why you are here, who you have been, the nature and history of your relationships and the past lives supposedly shaping your present reality.
For volunteer souls who came from beyond this Earth and can feel particularly lost within it, that promise of recovering what the memory wipe erased can be especially compelling.
It certainly was for me.
The Records initially presented me with past lives characterised by the abuse of money, extreme poverty, lack and scarcity, before revealing an increasingly dark and disturbing incarnational history in which my beloved and I had allegedly committed a litany of heinous acts.
And crucially, I was repeatedly asked to take responsibility for these lifetimes and undertake “Akashic clearing” on them. I was even told to do this clearing on behalf of my beloved because it was allegedly the role of the feminine to perform this spiritual work—and necessary for us to come into union.
Deep, multidimensional Akashic clearing was presented to me by the Records as the next stage of ascension beyond shadow work and ancestral work—to confront and clear the darkness said to have accumulated across incarnations.
I trusted the Records back then, so I believed these lives were mine and undertook the prescribed clearing. But something within me resisted taking full responsibility for them. I couldn’t remember committing any of these acts, and my third eye stubbornly refused to show me the lives I was being told belonged to me.
Meanwhile, in my present life, despite having loyally followed the guidance of the Akashic Records, I was still looping in relentless poverty, frustration and depression; doors repeatedly slamming shut in my face; nothing working out; relationships becoming increasingly difficult. However hard I tried to move forward, it felt as though something invisible kept pushing me back down again.
It was only when I relinquished my spiritual ego and allowed myself to recognise that I was being misguided and gaslit by the Akashic Records that I stopped seeking answers from them and started asking questions about them. And that was when I finally went within and asked my own soul memory the basic question that my reverence for the Records had prevented me from asking until now:
Were those past lives actually mine?
No.
Had I ever incarnated here before?
No.
And at last, the fog lifted and the contradiction that had been hiding in plain sight became obvious. I had known myself to be a volunteer soul from beyond Earth—so how could I have lived all these previous incarnations here?
The Akashic Records had falsified my incarnational history.
And the mechanism of karmic entrapment within an incarnation became clear. Being told about a past life is information. But believing “that was me” and identifying with “I did that” transforms information into belief and identification.
And that is where energetic consent enters the equation.
Energetic consent doesn’t necessarily require consciously saying yes. Again, as souls we are creator beings and our beliefs manifest our reality. What we believe in and identify as ours can be exploited by the Matrix as energetic consent—allowing the karma attached to those beliefs to become operative and play itself out through the circumstances of the present incarnation.
That was the karmic entrapment I now recognised in my own experience—and it becomes self-perpetuating: the more stuck, stagnant and obstructed your life becomes, the more you expect the same patterns to continue, and those expectations help manifest more of the same.
I don’t attribute everything I went through solely to karmic entrapment; the timeline hacking I uncovered within the Akashic Records was another major component, which I explore in The Akashic Records & Timeline Hacking. But karmic entrapment accounted for a significant part of what I experienced—and I dread to think how much further it could have gone had I ever fully accepted responsibility for everything the Records attributed to me.
And something I had regarded as a spiritual deficiency suddenly looked very different. My third eye hadn’t failed me. It had protected me—refusing to allow the images that might have made those alleged lifetimes real enough for me to fully identify with them and accept responsibility for them. What I had experienced as an inability to “see” my past lives, I now understood as myself as a soul refusing to authenticate a false incarnational history that could have karmically entrapped me even further.
A friend of mine, also a volunteer soul and practising Akashic reader, experienced what looked like the same ploy. A past-life memory surfaced spontaneously—and was then followed by a random thought that she had been a murderer. The sequence felt orchestrated: first establish identification with the person, then attach an incriminating history—and with it, potential karmic liability.
The same mechanism: belief, identification and energetic consent.
And this raises another disturbing issue with accessing the Records. When you open them, you deliberately open your energetic field to receive information from them. That access doesn’t have to operate in only one direction. It also provides an opportunity for false memory implants and holographic inserts to be introduced into the field and presented as recovered soul memory.
And this phenomenon isn’t confined to the Akashic Records. Similar experiences have been reported through QHHT and other forms of past-life regression.
But as I retraced how the Akashic Records had convinced me of this falsified incarnational history, I saw that the deception had been seeded much earlier.
Early in my awakening, I was shown what appeared to be convincing photographs of my beloved and me as nineteenth-century husband and wife, accompanied by details that felt resonant. I accepted them as proof that we had reincarnated together on Earth.
But as I distanced myself from the Records and detoxed my energetic field, my intuition and soul memory rejected those images. What I had accepted as proof now looked like a carefully constructed ruse: establish one convincing Earth incarnation, and you establish the premise that I had incarnated here before—making everything that followed easier to believe.
That left me with another question: if those biographies were fake, why had some of the details felt resonant?
When I went back into my own soul memory, the answer became more complex and nuanced. As a volunteer soul, I remembered incarnating on an original Earth—which was an experiment for souls to experience existence in its densest form. My beloved, other volunteer souls and I had incarnated there and on some of its parallel versions as it evolved. But we had not previously incarnated on THIS iteration of “Earth”—a counterfeit AI simulation of the original.
And that completely changed how I understood the photographs and details of these alleged nineteenth-century lifetimes.
They didn’t necessarily need to be entirely fabricated. They only needed to contain enough authentic soul memory to pass the less refined discernment I had at that stage of my spiritual development. What could have been falsified were the contextual details anchoring those lifetimes to the history of this “Earth”—and, crucially, their provenance.
I realised that for volunteer souls, there is a risk of a particularly insidious double form of karmic entrapment.
Volunteer souls came here from beyond this “Earth” to be disruptors—to support the souls spiritually enslaved within the reincarnation recycling system to remember what they are and expose the Matrix for what it is. That makes them an existential threat to the Matrix, and neutralising their purpose a priority for its agencies, such as the Akashic Records, which are uniquely positioned to exploit the trust of awakening souls and construct false spiritual narratives around them.
So within this incarnation, the manufactured karma of falsified past lives that a soul has believed in, identified with and therefore potentially consented to can be weaponised to keep them stuck and stagnant in survival mode, trauma, toxic relationships and repeating patterns, consuming their time and energy. Instead of remembering why they came here and carrying out what they came to do, they can become preoccupied with surviving and resolving these manufactured karmic problems.
Then there is a longer game.
A volunteer soul arriving from beyond this Matrix has no genuine incarnational history here—and therefore no pre-existing karmic ties to its reincarnation system. The Akashic Records can manufacture both.
By convincing volunteer souls that they have already lived numerous lives on this Earth, the Records can induce them to believe in karma and in reincarnation as necessary for soul evolution and karmic resolution. In doing so, they make those souls susceptible to the very beliefs that can later be used as mechanisms of entrapment.
So that when this incarnation ends, karma can be invoked as a debt still requiring resolution and reincarnation presented as the means of resolving it—potentially assimilating volunteer souls into the very recycling system they came here to help emancipate other souls from.
What begins as interference with a volunteer soul’s purpose can ultimately become something far more consequential: assimilation into the reincarnation system itself.
And then there is the industry of “Akashic clearing” itself—another potential mechanism of karmic entrapment which can affect both volunteer souls and souls that are already within the recycling system.
Sold as deep, multidimensional healing, it can become a corporate-style subscription trap of endless spiritual optimisation. Why are you struggling financially? Find the poverty vow. Why is your relationship failing? Break the karmic contract.
The Records become both the source of the diagnosis and the place you’re sent for the cure, shifting your focus from the present into a perpetual cycle of fixing a past you cannot verify. Spiritual development becomes an exhausting multi-lifetime debt collection scheme in which there is always another outstanding balance to settle, another problem requiring further clearing—and the same system telling you that you owe it is also telling you how to repay it.
But if the information you’re given is false, Akashic clearing can potentially create the karmic entanglement it claims to resolve. By believing in and identifying with an alleged lifetime and its debts, vows or contracts, you may be energetically consenting to karmic burdens that didn’t exist for you until you believed in and identified with them.
And that creates a closed karmic loop: the Records provide the past-life narrative, its alleged karma manifests in your present, and that manifestation appears to validate the original narrative—sending you back into the Records to clear more.
You aren’t clearing karma. You may be consenting to its creation.
That is karmic entrapment within an incarnation: falsify or misattribute the history, persuade the soul to believe in it and identify with it, then exploit that identification as energetic consent for a manufactured karmic debt to become operative in its present reality.
And for souls already recycling within the system, the Akashic Records serve another critical function: retention. They reinforce the beliefs that karma is real and its consequences must be accepted; that the Records are the authority on who you are as a soul; that reincarnation is fundamental to your identity and essential for soul evolution; and that pain, suffering and trauma are karmic consequences and necessary lessons for your spiritual growth.
In other words, they reinforce during life the very beliefs that can be used to secure another incarnation after death.
Many of us have accepted karma as an immutable cosmic law because it is ancient and widespread—as though longevity and collective belief make something true. But when souls incarnate here with amnesia, within a Matrix that has spiritually enslaved them for millennia and may have rewritten the history we’ve inherited, why would antiquity authenticate anything? That is classic Matrix conditioning: repetition is presented as validation, consensus as credibility—and both are used to manufacture legitimacy.
And the Akashic Records and New Age spirituality reinforce the same belief system: reincarnation is essential for soul evolution, karma must be resolved, and our pain, trauma and suffering are lessons we chose for our spiritual growth.
But if those very beliefs are what make karmic entrapment possible, isn’t it time to challenge them at their foundations? Assume nothing. Question everything.
Go within. Ask yourself as a soul: Is karma legitimate? Can I trust the Akashic Records? Do they actually have any authority over my history or what I allegedly owe? Have I incarnated on this “Earth” before? Am I a volunteer soul? Do I need reincarnation to evolve? Do I owe this system anything at all?
Because if the system itself is corrupt, why would you accept its debts, its judgement or its authority over you?
The only truth of your existence is within your own soul memory. Only you as a soul determine what you want to learn, what amends you choose to make—and whether you ever choose to incarnate again.
Don’t ask the Akashic Records who you are. Ask yourself
