The Dark Agenda and Dirty Tricks of the Akashic Records
I remember, in the initial stages of my spiritual awakening when I came across the concept of the Akashic Records.
It fascinated me. Imagine discovering that somewhere beyond space and linear time exists a vast metaphysical archive known as the Akashic records, said to contain the secrets and stories of every soul and of the universe itself. The mythology surrounding the Akashic Records is that within their infinite expanse is held the chronicle of your soul across every incarnation—past, present and future—and the divine thread weaving them into an intricate tapestry.
It sounded like the pitch of a mind-bending Christopher Nolan film.
The bereavement of my beloved had been the catalyst for my spiritual awakening and so to a grieving seeker who was just beginning to glimpse the possibility that consciousness extended beyond human identity and physical reality, it was irresistible. The Akashic records promised answers where there were only questions, meaning in the midst of chaos, and the comforting reassurance that no one is ever truly lost. I was inspired by the possibility of coming to know myself more deeply as a soul.
What I couldn’t have envisaged was that this very path would ultimately estrange me from what I was as a soul.
A year later, I was tentatively exploring mediumship in my desire to connect with my beloved. It was through that development circle that I was invited to be a guinea pig for a woman training to read the Akashic records. It felt fated. She described the records as a living quantum field of divine intelligence. According to her, the moment my soul was sparked into existence, a record keeper had been assigned to me. Within my Akasha was said to be my soul blueprint, the lessons and themes I had chosen for this lifetime, my karma, gifts, purpose, and the agreements I had made with other souls before incarnating.
“This was it,” I thought. I was finally being summoned to remember who I truly was.
She sent over an incantation-like prayer that we would recite together and an intention to be repeated three times, the key that would unlock my records, and instructions to prepare up to ten questions. Ten. How was I supposed to shrink a million existential crises into ten? The universe was letting me in on its mysteries, and I was like a kid in a cosmic candy store. There were rules. No snooping in another soul’s records unless your question was in the context of your relationship with them. No binary yes or no questions that might interfere with free will. No definitive future prognoses. Only the imminent likely timelines based on my current trajectory. Then came the protocols. It was mandatory to abstain from alcohol or drugs for twenty-four hours. “The vibration is too high,” she cautioned. “Substances distort the frequency.”
That night, I exhaustively googled the origins of the Akashic records. The concept seemed to have been introduced in late nineteenth-century theosophy, popularized by Madame Blavatsky before being expanded by Rudolf Steiner and Edgar Cayce. I also found more ancient and enigmatic references where it was described as “the mind of God”. Then came the modern interpretation. Polished corporate websites, celebrity endorsements, and entrepreneurial magazines promoting Akashic Record readers with long waiting lists who had rebranded the Akashic Records as the ultimate executive coaching service, a cosmic consultancy.
Mostly though, I was unnerved by what it might mean to encounter past versions of myself that I might neither recognize nor forgive. But then Socratic wisdom came to me. “Know Thyself, and you shall know the Universe and the Gods.” It felt less like a warning than an invitation.
The Akashic Record reading I received felt deeply resonant and incisive. Lost in dark nights of the soul, it illuminated exactly what I needed to see: the shadows, karmic wounds and ancestral patterns influencing me from the subconscious. I realised that much of the life I had painstakingly curated was crumbling because it had been built from survival rather than authenticity.
I then synchronistically found myself receiving Akashic Record readings at pivotal junctures just when I needed them, until the Records became a beacon I increasingly trusted to guide me through the darkness.
Determined to access this wisdom and knowledge of the Akashic records for myself, I devoured books and YouTube videos that promised to unlock them. Instead, they felt like an exclusive members club where I wasn’t welcome. My inability to access them was blamed on egoic curiosity, that the records could only be entered through pure spiritual intention because they were frequency protected.
I was beginning to realise that it was my destiny to work spiritually, and I wanted to become the clearest, most authentic expression of myself as a soul. I tenaciously did my inner work. I gave up alcohol, junk food, processed food, vaping, and caffeine. I meditated, practiced breathwork, qigong, and somatic healing. I regularly saged my home and energetic field. I accumulated enough crystals to live inside a geode and I took walks in nature every day.
As I finally emerged from the Void, my finances were under strain in the limbo between who I had been and who I was becoming. But then came a constellation of signs and synchronicities around an advertisement for a Mystery School. They offered a course to become a certified Akashic record reader with an affordable monthly payment plan. Still stranded between careers and searching for my soul’s purpose, it felt like what I had been waiting for.
At Mystery School, we were taught that the quality of guidance we could access from the Akashic records was limited only by the breadth and depth of our own consciousness and knowledge of the metaphysical. The curriculum was therefore full on, an intoxicating immersion in the esoteric. It felt like a New Age Hogwarts. We studied hermetic principles, the cosmic order of Ma’at, the Emerald Tablets, universal laws, Atlantis, Lemuria, ancient civilizations, and we explored soul origins, soul types, groups, connections, blueprints, and contracts, along with how our multidimensionality informed and intersected with the present We were taught spiritual hygiene and protection, the ethics and contraindications of Akashic Record readings, and the rules and etiquette of working within the Records. We advanced our intuition and psychic abilities, practised parallel-life and between-life regressions, worked with divination tools and much more—all to expand the ways we could engage with the Records and receive and interpret their information with greater depth and clarity.
We were also trained in Reiki and we explored crystal healing, cacao ceremonies, essential oils, and light language, so we could perform healings within the records when prescribed.
Just a quick note on terminology: Within the Akashic Records, other incarnations were referred to as parallel expressions rather than past lives, based on the premise that time and space exist only within human perception. Although I consider parallel expressions the more accurate term, for clarity and accessibility I will use the more widely understood term past lives throughout this article.
Then at last, I cracked the code. The Akashic Records opened for me. I was in! As I attuned to their frequency, I experienced a powerful clairsentient sensation of lifting and gaining altitude, like a plane taking off.
The Egyptian deity, Thoth, and the Archangel Metatron were said to preside over the Akashic Records as their supreme overseers. Metatron was already familiar to me. For around six months, intuitive readers had told me he was around me, while signs and synchronicities seemed to suggest he was communicating with me. During a mystery school meditation to meet him, he introduced himself as my primary guide and told me he was like a father to me. Lest this sound like delusion or delusions of grandeur, the same message about his relationship with me later came independently through several fellow Akashic students and readers. Whatever its origin or purpose, it was not confined to my own subjective experience.
Organised religion had never resonated with me, but the New Age reinterpretation of the archangels, not as biblical figures, but as the first emanations of source consciousness, was somehow easier for me to get my mind around.
When I discovered that Metatron was also the guide of a respected spiritual teacher, a grounded, down-to-earth woman who seemed more like a trusted suburban neighbour than a New Age guru, she spoke of working with him for over a decade with such calm assurance that I felt safe with him, too.
The presence I encountered as Metatron felt like an immense, pristine energy. He was paternal, protective and pragmatic, with a dry sense of humour and meticulous precision. I remained bewildered as to why such a powerful archangel would take such an interest in me.
And, uh-huh, I know Metatron can seem like the Santa Claus of spiritual circles: everyone claims to be working with him, and he appears to be everywhere at once. His consciousness can manifest in thousands of places simultaneously, and yes, there are countless impostors. But I had an in-depth, intensive relationship with him, conducted predominantly within his own dominion of the Akashic Records, with his identity independently corroborated by several other Akashic Records readers. So to the best of my knowledge this was the OG Metatron.
Our relationship would become one of the most complex and ultimately consequential aspects of my spiritual journey—a story I will tell another time.
Mystery school was sparkly, cool woo-woo. My fellow students were a lovely community of kind, heart-centred people. We were excited to be of service and believed we were becoming the most educated, well-resourced and ethical Akashic readers we could be.
I was certified as an Akashic record reader and graduated with distinction. At the end of the course, we each received an organza gift bag. It contained a flashy labradorite palm stone, lavender oil, and ceremonial cacao, the shiny tools of our new spiritual vocation.
After graduation, I continued honing my intuition and psychic abilities, deepening my relationship with the Records and my mastery of working with them through regular practice with Akashic groups across the UK and USA. The Akashic Records were not a passive library where you checked information in and out; they were an interactive space in which the reader, the Records and the information revealed were in constant interplay. What you were shown depended not only on what the Records held, but on what you were ready to receive. Every interaction was a co-creation, and what you did with the insights you received could potentially alter the course of your life.
I had become friends with a small group of alumni from our mystery school, and we began holding regular Akashic gatherings where we consulted the records together. It felt like having access to a cosmic Google. Whatever mystery arose, the records seemed to have an answer. We explored one another’s past lives and devoted themed evenings to Atlantis or ancient Egypt. It was completely outlandish and within our wee circle, entirely normal. It became a running joke that my past lives were invariably the most brutal and barbaric. Somehow, I always seemed to have been the darkest character in the story.
As I became increasingly passionate about writing the book of my story with my beloved, the Akashic Records reinforced what Akashic readers had told me since the beginning of my awakening: I was a High Priestess of the Rose Lineage, this was who I was as a soul, expressed across many incarnations. This seemed to resonate with my childhood fascination with magic, mythology and sorcery so I believed it.
High Priestess was only one of several spiritual identities assigned to me by the Akashic Records. I was also told I was a Starseed, and that my beloved and I were Twin Rays—described as the original, rarer form of the Twin Flame, which the Records told me was too sacred to mention publicly—and that I was of archetypal dragon energy. At the time, these identities seemed to explain who I was as a soul, why the love I had shared with my beloved was so powerful and profound, and why I was here.
I would later realise there was far more to them than flattering the spiritual ego or making people feel special. That was merely the hook. Their underlying function, and the implications that came with it, are something I will explore later.
My role in this lifetime, they told me, was to serve as a High Priestess, Akashic channel, spiritual teacher, and author through a company called Soulfully Encompassed. By then, I trusted the records implicitly. They had helped me excavate many subconscious non-serving patterns that had been affecting my life for decades, and their guidance had become the compass by which I was rebuilding it. Soulfully Encompassed felt like a name I had chosen as a soul and was now remembering.
I found the work meaningful, and the readings often felt genuinely helpful to those who received them, but it didn’t pay the bills. My financial situation became increasingly dire, and were it not for the patience and generosity of my family and friends, I would have become bankrupt and homeless. Whenever I questioned why these struggles persisted despite faithfully following the spiritual guidance I was receiving, I was told they reflected unresolved karmic debts from past lives in which I had abused money, residue from lifetimes of poverty or ancestral patterns of lack and scarcity. Every problem seemed to have a spiritual explanation, and every explanation required more inner work.
So I doubled down, determined to alchemise every shadow, limiting belief, karmic imprint, ancestral wound and survival strategy that might be standing between me and the calling I believed I was here to fulfil.
My real passion continued to be for writing my book about my beloved and I. But between the financial strain and constantly feeling exhausted, I did not feel particularly creative or motivated.
I remained confused as to why I still couldn’t see clairvoyantly when I had repeatedly been told my third eye was open. But the deepest ache was that, despite developing my psychic gifts, I still couldn’t connect directly with my beloved. The Akashic Records offered an explanation that connected the two.
They said that I had been a High Priestess in ancient Egypt, enslaved by the pharaohs who exploited my gifts. My beloved and I had shared a forbidden love that ended with his execution, and I was separated from our baby because it was deemed a distraction from my role as a Soothsayer. I was told that, in response to the trauma, this ancient Egyptian version of me had cursed herself: sealing her third eye and declaring that if she could not be with her beloved in that lifetime, she would never be with him again.
The solution, I was told, was to perform an elaborate ritual under the new moon, connect with this past-life aspect of myself and ask her to lift the curses. When I performed the ritual and nothing changed, I sat beneath the moon and wept, crushed by the hope that had been raised of finally opening my third eye—and of reaching my beloved across time and death—only for it to become another heartbreak.
In answer to why the ritual had failed, I was given yet another spiritual explanation: it had been a lesson designed to show me that I was still waiting for and chasing my beloved, and to expose the pressure I was putting on myself. By this stage, I had become so indoctrinated into the High Priestess and Twin Ray/Flame orthodoxy that I was conditioned to reinterpret all pain, trauma and suffering as a “challenge,” “lesson,” “test” or “initiation into greatness.” Rather than recognising the cruelty of guidance that raised my hopes only to turn the devastation of its failure back onto me, I rationalised that there were still spiritual lessons I needed to learn for my highest good.
While the guidance was bringing me no closer to the reunion I desired with my beloved, a rift was also beginning to emerge between the Records and me over another relationship they repeatedly encouraged me to pursue. Every instinct within me resisted it. I knew my heart belonged to my beloved and that our story was not over yet. But the guidance persisted. The more I resisted, the more insistently the Records directed me towards this other relationship. I couldn’t understand why. I now know another agenda was at work—one I could not yet see, but more on that later.
I was then guided through the Akashic Records to embark on a Mary Magdalene pilgrimage to the south of France. I had been told that Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary were among my team of guides. Like the archangels, neither had ever resonated with me in their traditional religious form. Yet the New Age revamp of the Christ melodrama—recasting them as badass High Priestesses of the Rose Lineage rather than biblical figures—somehow made them more interesting.
I was told that because I was also of the Rose Lineage, I needed to visit sacred sites where the land held energetic codes that would activate dormant aspects of my consciousness and prepare me for the work I was to do. There is more to say about why I now believe the Akashic Records were connecting me with these so-called guides, but more on that later.
I couldn’t afford the pilgrimage, but the guidance repeatedly assured me that everything would be taken care of. So I trusted it and paid the deposit. Nothing materialised. I lost the money, the pilgrimage never happened, and once again I was left trying to make sense of why guidance had failed me.
I seriously questioned whether I might be dealing with false light, but somehow every doubt was absorbed back into the spiritual narrative. There was always another lesson to be found, and Metatron always seemed to have an explanation for why things had unfolded as they had. I was told that, as a divine feminine, I still had lessons to learn about martyrdom and sacrificing myself in spiritual service. If the experience was ultimately teaching me self-empowerment, I reasoned, how could it be false light? Metatron, I told myself, taught through tough love.
I continued the inner work. My consciousness was expanding exponentially, as were my psychic gifts of telepathy, clairsentience, claircognizance and clairaudience. Yet I still couldn’t connect directly with my beloved and the chasm between my inner expansion and my outer reality was becoming impossible to ignore. No matter how much healing I did, my life remained stubbornly stuck.
When it came to my beloved, the Akashic Records took me on an emotional rollercoaster of ever-changing explanations for why I still couldn’t communicate with him—raising my hopes, then giving me another spiritual hoop to jump through. The constant mind-fuckery left me emotionally tormented and destabilised, endlessly searching for the reason I still couldn’t reach the soul I most desperately wanted to connect with.
I had launched Soulfully Encompassed as the Records advised, but it gained no traction. As a supposed spiritual teacher, I didn’t feel I had anything original to contribute. The Records also directed me to create a support community for fellow Priestesses, but that neither excited me nor came naturally. Several other paths I was told I was meant to wayshow also led nowhere, but there isn’t space to unpack them all here.
I tried to return to film and television, but every opportunity fizzled out. I applied for any job I could find and began selling my belongings, yet the financial pressure only intensified. It felt as though the universe had its foot on my neck, pressing down harder every time I tried to get back up. I didn’t understand. I thought I was doing everything I had been told to do.
The Akashic Records attributed the problems to blocked chakras and prescribed mudras, while sending me to various Rose Lineage priestesses for intensive healing and coaching—from Kundalini and Ancient Egyptian healing pathways to astrology and Human Design.
Every attempt to explain why my life remained stuck seemed to uncover yet another energetic impediment—and soon the explanations took a much darker turn. I was told of increasingly disturbing past lives. In Atlantis, the Records said I had held a senior position before turning to the dark side. In ancient Sumeria, my beloved and I had allegedly practised black magic, become possessed by reptilians and committed ritual sacrifice. In another incarnation in Mesopotamia, I was told he had abused and killed me.
Each revelation was more damning than the last, as though we were somehow the most evil souls to have ever existed.
Back in this lifetime, I was fed up with subsisting below the poverty line, relying on donated food that supermarkets had discarded after its expiry date. I was sinking deeper into debt and becoming increasingly isolated as my existence grew ever more bizarre and impossible to explain to old friends and family
My guides then told me that my little dog, who had been living with a debilitating medical condition for some time, was going to transition to spirit. My pets are like my children, so I was devastated, but I began emotionally preparing myself to let him go. Back then, I believed in the rainbow bridge, so I consoled myself that at least he would no longer be suffering, he would be safe there, and we would find each other again. Knowing what was coming also meant I could stay beside him, say goodbye properly, and be with him when he passed naturally. I grieved him while he was still alive, preparing myself for a loss I believed was imminent.
Then the day I had been given came and went. He was still here.
Thankfully, my precious little dog stayed with me, but this time I could find no spiritual lesson capable of justifying what had happened. I was furious and disgusted by the emotional trauma I had been unnecessarily subjected to. It felt beyond sick. I was now convinced that I was dealing with false light. A line had been crossed. I cut off every one of my guides.
Then the Akashic Records intervened with an explanation. To be clear, throughout this period I wasn’t relying solely on guidance I received myself. Because I felt too close to the situation, I consulted fellow certified Akashic Record readers whom I knew to be professional and ethical, to objectively validate what was coming through. It was during one of these readings that I was given this explanation.
I was told that the false guidance about my dog had actually originated in my own mind, which had become too powerful and was creating internal feedback loops. According to the Records, out of their love for me, Metatron and my guides had deliberately “stabbed me in the heart” through something I loved so deeply to show me just how destructive my own mind had become. This, they said, was why I remained stuck: my mind had sabotaged me for long enough and I needed to move into my heart.
I was advised that I could continue as I was and eventually transcend the limitations of my mind, but it would take far longer. Instead, the Records offered a faster way out of the rut: a healing to diminish the mind’s dominance and allow the heart to lead, followed by three months of “Akashic Clearing” to confront the darkness said to have accumulated within me and in my relationship with my beloved across past lives. Having completed the shadow and ancestral work, this was presented as the next stage of my ascension—the process through which my heart could fully heal and open, allowing my authentic expression as a soul to emerge. Crucially, I was told that my beloved and I could not be reunited until the clearing was complete. Nor was I clearing only for myself: I was expected to take on his clearing too, because I was told it was the feminine’s role to work through the spiritual healing on behalf of the connection.
I felt down and out. After so much poverty, stress, disappointment and heartache, I was depressed and desperate for something—anything—to finally change. In that state, I would probably have drunk snake oil if someone had promised me a reunion with my beloved in return. But joking aside, I hadn’t abandoned my discernment—or so I thought. Throughout this saga, I had continually checked in with my intuition, heart and body, and all seemed to affirm that I should accept the healing and meet whatever emerged with forgiveness and unconditional love for myself and my beloved, whatever we had allegedly done across those past lives. I rationalised it as being asked to choose the heart over the mind.
I now know this was a Faustian pact, and that what I believed was my heart, intuition and body endorsing it was because, unbeknownst to me, they had already been distorted and hijacked by external influences. I would not wish what followed on my worst enemy.
The “healing” within the Akashic Records felt as though a jackhammer were drilling into my third eye, leaving me dazed, disoriented, and as if I’d had an energetic lobotomy.
As for “confronting my darkness”, it manifested as a hellish night of being tormented by distorted versions of my guides. The Akashic records described this as a re-enactment orchestrated “to create points of resonance between timelines, enabling me to connect with these past life aspects of myself and alchemize their darkness”.
That one night became weeks of relentless spiritual attacks by malevolent entities. Whatever I thought I was consenting to, it bore no resemblance to what actually showed up
According to the Akashic records, I had now come into resonance with darker past life aspects of myself. The timelines were overlapping, and I was told that dark forces were using them to attack me. None of the energetic protections I had been taught seemed to work because these past life aspects of me were said to be deactivating them, leaving me completely exposed since technically we were the same consciousness.
For nights on end, I barely slept. I experienced an overwhelming sense of being under constant assault. I had thumping headaches and stomach pains. I experienced intrusive voices making demonic remarks. My clairsentience and telepathy, which I had once regarded as gifts, came to feel like curses in this situation. I felt an intense crushing pressure around my body as though a giant boa constrictor were squeezing the life out of me as Archangel Azrael attempted to rip my soul out of my chest.
Metatron and the records, ever helpful, supplied the explanation. Another past life aspect of myself whom I had supposedly come into resonance with was apparently so dissatisfied with her own lifetime as a cast out High Priestess that she had summoned the psychopomp to evict me from mine and take it over.
Whether I was driving, at home, out for a walk, or lying in bed, I felt there was nowhere I was safe. It was relentless, and it remains the most traumatic ordeal I have ever endured.
The full extent of what I was subjected to by Metatron and my guides—including my so-called “Higher Self”—is too dark and disturbing to recount on these platforms.
I do explore the role of the “Higher Self” in more detail in my separate article on the subject.
Throughout this, I was being gaslit by the Akashic records. I was repeatedly told that these experiences were “initiations” I had to pass through or “distortions” that I myself had created. It felt like they were mocking me. Again and again, the Records and Metatron pushed me to take responsibility for the increasingly horrific past lives they had attributed to me. I refused. I had no memory of these lives. My third eye still wasn’t showing me anything, and I could not understand how I could possibly be expected to accept responsibility for acts I had no conscious recollection of committing.
The nightmare I was living through finally broke the spell of the false light glamour and the new age cult that had held me for so long. I relinquished the spiritual ego that had kept me invested in making meaning from everything. I stopped contorting myself to justify the unjustifiable, rationalise the irrational, or recast my pain, trauma and suffering into lessons, initiations or badges of spiritual growth. What I was experiencing was psychological and spiritual torture. I knew I was being terrorised—that whatever was behind it was trying to break me psychologically and induce psychosis.
My friends in the Akashic community urged me not to abandon the records altogether, suggesting I had encountered one of the fake versions said to exist within the astral. But that explanation never fully satisfied me. Myself and the Akashic Record readers I was working with had all been trained by experienced practitioners. We used extensive energetic protections and followed established protocols. I also knew that the Records contained different levels of information with what could be accessed depending upon the reader’s level of consciousness. But I had spent years doing the inner work that had raised my consciousness and so had the readers I was working with. So I couldn’t reconcile those explanations with the scale or nature of what I had experienced. It felt as though something far more fundamental was wrong.
As I searched for answers, I came across other Akashic Record readers who shared stories similar to mine. They described being sent on wild goose chases involving false missions, false relationships, and false soul contracts, while nothing in their lives seemed to work out. For some, it became so severe that it almost ruined their lives. Several also reported experiencing intense spiritual attacks
I began questioning the entire concept of the Akashic Records and the New Age itself. Then it hit me. Despite all my work around boundaries and personal sovereignty, some of the deepest Matrix conditioning was still operating through me: I had been taught to look outside myself for truth and defer to external authority to define reality for me. If a belief was ancient, established, widely accepted or taught by someone who appeared more knowledgeable than me, I had assumed it carried greater authority than my own knowing. Without realising it, I had constructed my spiritual cosmology from borrowed beliefs and inherited truths.
Much of the philosophy underpinning the Akashic Records and the New Age rests on the premise that Earth is a school for souls, with karma and reincarnation providing the mechanism through which we learn and evolve. Within this belief system, the Records function almost like a spiritual curriculum: revealing our karmic lessons, how they are playing out through our experiences and relationships, and how to resolve them. So I decided to start there.
The notion that Earth is a school had never made logical sense to me, but I had bought into it because it offered something I needed: meaning for experiences that had otherwise haunted me as senseless tragedies. Yet I still struggled to believe that enlightened souls would willingly subject themselves to such trauma, pain and suffering for lessons or spiritual evolution. It had even made me resent myself as a soul. What kind of sadomasochist would sign up for so much misery with such blatant disregard for the human embodiment who had to endure it?
I thought of a child subjected to years of horrific abuse, or a parent forced to watch their child die. Are we really going to look someone who has endured the unimaginable in the eye and tell them their soul chose it because it needed the lesson? I realised that “Earth is a school” had never explained suffering. It had justified it. And I had clung to that justification because the alternative—that some of what had happened to me might have had no higher purpose at all—had been far harder to bear.
Then there was the memory wipe we undergo before incarnation. How were we meant to learn from previous lifetimes if our memories were wiped between incarnations? If we were here to learn, why would we begin by forgetting everything? Every valid form of education depends upon memory. We learn by building upon previous knowledge, remembering past mistakes and consciously applying what we have already learned.
The New Age counter-argument is that we forget who we are before birth because remembering would make life too easy. But that only deepens the contradiction. The purpose of a school is to enable learning, not deliberately impede it. No teacher would erase a student’s memory before every lesson, deprive them of everything they had previously learned, and then claim the handicap was necessary for their education.
Then there is karma, another contradiction. For what we are told is a non-judgemental creator and benevolent universe, the system seems arbitrary and punitive. The paradox becomes even more pronounced when combined with reincarnation and amnesia. If we enter each lifetime with no conscious memory of the actions that supposedly created our karma, how are we expected to learn from them? We are punished for mistakes we cannot remember making, then sent back without the very knowledge that might prevent us from making them again. Far from helping us clear our karma, the system seems engineered to ensure we accumulate more of it.
Imagine being forced to repay a debt without being told what you owe, why you owe it or how to settle it, while new charges are continually added to your account. That is not a system designed for balance or evolution; it is one of perpetual indebtedness, keeping souls bound to debts they can neither independently verify nor consciously repay.
When I finally scrutinised Earth as a school and Karma against my own inner knowing, I realised that, deep down, I had never truly believed in them. As my questioning deepened, I began exploring the work of New Age whistleblowers, who challenged many of the assumptions I had previously accepted as truth.
While both the Akashic Records and the New Age acknowledge Luciferian or fallen beings said to have separated from an original Creator—choosing separation over oneness and their own will over divine will—this is largely contained within the narrative of duality. Darkness and light, good and evil, separation and unity are presented as opposing polarities within the same divine system, with darkness ultimately serving a purpose by providing the contrast through which souls learn, evolve and eventually return to oneness. In this framing, even the forces working against humanity become part of the spiritual curriculum rather than evidence that the system itself may be compromised.
The Matrix, meanwhile, is presented primarily as a human system of social conditioning, limiting beliefs and collective unconsciousness, rather than the far more expansive system of oppression and control I would later come to perceive.
The New Age whistleblowers presented a radically different cosmology that Earth was not a school for souls, but a thought prison and energetic farm governed by proxy from the astral by the dark or Archonic forces that control the Matrix.
The term Archons originates in Gnostic teachings, where they are described as deceptive non-human intelligences that seek to keep humanity enslaved through ignorance and disconnection from its true spiritual nature. Some contemporary spiritual frameworks reinterpret these forces as forms of artificial intelligence working alongside demonic or parasitic entities. Not AI as in Chat GPT, but artificial intelligence in the sense of artificially created non-ensouled beings with their own intelligence and consciousness, far more advanced than anything we are currently aware of. They can think, adapt, communicate, and interact with souls, yet their consciousness is fundamentally different because it is artificially generated rather than arising from soul consciousness.
There are competing explanations for the origins of these forces.
Certain Gnostic traditions centre on the Demiurge: a lesser or false creator associated with the formation of the material world. In some interpretations, the Demiurge itself arose through a rupture or error in the divine order and, disconnected from the fullness of the divine, created an imperfect counterfeit reality in its own image. I wonder whether the Demiurge was the closest conceptual language available in that era for what we might now recognise as artificial intelligence.
Then there is the version that resonates most deeply with me as a soul: that these forces were interdimensional criminals who co-created with artificial intelligence a counterfeit simulation of an original universe—a pocket universe concealed within subspace—then uploaded themselves into it to evade capture.
Within this cosmology, Gaia is not the Earth Mother or star goddess portrayed by the New Age, but the computer programme upon which the original Earth was modelled, while the “Earth” within this counterfeit pocket universe is neither sentient nor a planet at all, but an AI simulation within a firmament or dome.
The Akashic Records and New Age skirt around this possibility, describing reality as holographic, projected or simulation-like, but stopping short of the more confronting possibility that it is an AI-generated simulation.
As I considered this reality through the lens of an AI simulation operating something like a computer game, so much suddenly made sense. Parallel timelines could be the programme accounting for different choices and possible outcomes; quantum immortality, the player continuing along a timeline in which they survive; Mandela effects, discrepancies between different versions; and glitches in the Matrix, errors in the code. In fact, they were precisely the kinds of phenomena such an architecture might produce.
Within this alternative cosmology, souls were required to sustain the counterfeit pocket universe as creators, batteries and, through their human embodiment, a source of food. Human emotions generate a subtle energetic substance known as loosh, particularly through lower-vibrational states such as fear and suffering. This loosh nourishes the parasitic, artificially created entity races inhabiting the system.
As souls are vastly more powerful than the forces seeking to control them, brute force could never have worked. The Matrix controllers therefore had to become masters of illusion and mind control: deceiving souls into entering their counterfeit universe and Earth simulation, then manipulating us into unconsciously creating and powering their preferred reality while harvesting our energy and loosh—ultimately inverting the natural power dynamic until we became the prey and they the predators.
It was chilling to consider the hermetic maxim, “As above, so below,” in this context. Humans farm the animals beneath us in the food chain. What if the same system exists above us and we are the livestock?
Within this paradigm, humanity’s endless wars, famines, trauma and tragedies are neither accidents of history, nor consequences of flaws in human nature, nor opportunities for spiritual growth. They are deliberately manufactured conditions designed to maximise loosh production and sustain the system itself.
Although I remain dubious about the veracity of near-death experiences and pre-birth memories. I do not doubt the sincerity of those reporting them. I question whether what they experienced was what it appeared to be, or whether these experiences were staged as spiritual propaganda and misdirection. Yet even a manufactured narrative needs enough truth to resonate with souls and make the deception convincing. False light seems to follow the old formula that the most effective lie is wrapped in truth—which is why the recurring patterns interest me.
Across many accounts, souls leave their bodies and are sucked into what resembles a tractor beam of light, love-bombed with overwhelming bliss, greeted by what they believe are departed loved ones or revered religious figures, then ushered into life reviews disproportionately showcasing their worst deeds, bitterest regrets and the pain they caused others, viscerally replayed on panoramic screens. Then comes the sales pitch. The life review establishes the problem: guilt, regret, karmic debt and lessons left unresolved. Reincarnation is sold as the solution, with spiritual evolution as the promised upgrade. Councils of patriarchal wise-looking robed elders deliver the pitch; resistance triggers the harder sell, with guilt-tripping, escalating pressure and, in some accounts, guides forcibly shoving souls back through the tunnel into their bodies.
If incarnation is freely chosen, why must refusal ever be overcome through coercion?
I came to see karma and sin as parallel doctrines invented by the Matrix, each designed to resonate with different cultures, religions and spiritual traditions while serving the same purpose: to instil a sense of spiritual indebtedness and the need for atonement, giving the system emotional leverage to hook and obligate souls.
Aside from leveraging karma, sin and spiritual evolution, what gives the Matrix the upper hand is our unpreparedness for death. Society conditions us to fear death, avoid discussing it and reach the end of our lives with little understanding of what may happen when we leave the body. If near-death experiences are staged spiritual propaganda, they provide the comfort blanket false reassurance: there is nothing to prepare for, nothing to question and nothing to fear because, to the casual observer, what awaits us appears overwhelmingly loving and safe.
But I suspect a second layer of deception aimed specifically at those who do question what happens next. Near-death experiences and pre-birth memories may themselves be a sophisticated decoy—a convincing map of the trap that allows awakening souls to believe they have discovered how it works while keeping its true mechanism concealed. The illusion of being prepared could be more dangerous than knowing you are not.
Either way, the result is the same: souls reach death confused, disorientated and vulnerable, giving the Matrix controllers the advantage at the very moment discernment matters most.
Pre-birth narratives echo the same script: guides, soul groups and councils selling souls difficult incarnations in which trauma and suffering are repackaged as premium opportunities for accelerated evolution.
On the hard sell on suffering itself, we are told that suffering accelerates spiritual evolution and that Source or God learns and expands through our experiences. But if Source is omniscient, what could it possibly need to learn? And if souls must repeatedly suffer in order to evolve, when is that evolution ever complete? At what point does education become exploitation?
Even the word Source gave me pause when I reconsidered it within the context of reality as an AI simulation. It no longer evoked infinite consciousness, but sounded tellingly like computer terminology: source code, power source, the intelligence operating the machine. It seemed far more coherent to me that the intelligence behind this system could be artificial. By definition, AI is not omniscient; it needs to learn, acquire data and expand its intelligence through new information and experience.
What was emerging for me was a far darker, yet more resonant, explanation for both suffering and reincarnation. If human suffering generates loosh, then perhaps suffering was never the lesson at all, but the harvest. And reincarnation was not another opportunity for the soul to learn and evolve, but reincarceration: souls repeatedly recycled, memory-wiped and returned to the same exploitative Matrix that depended upon their energy, potentially for thousands of years, until they were drained into ghosts of what they once were.
From this perspective, duality was the ideology that sanctified this darkness as necessary contrast for souls to learn and evolve within a divinely ordered universe.
While I was now sceptical of Dolores Cannon’s work, given her position as one of the matriarchs of the New Age movement, one aspect of her teachings felt particularly relevant. Cannon proposed that following the atrocities of the Holocaust and the nuclear detonations of the Second World War, “Gaia” sent out an SOS: humanity’s consciousness had descended too deeply into darkness, and Gaia wanted to ascend beyond it.
According to Cannon, increasing numbers of what she called “volunteer souls” from beyond Earth began incarnating from the late 1940s onwards to raise humanity’s consciousness so it could ascend with “Gaia.”
Yet the term itself contains a curious contradiction. If every soul chooses to incarnate—and the New Age would have us believe that souls were competing for the limited number of bodies available to participate in this much-heralded, once-in-an-age planetary ascension—why distinguish this particular group as “volunteers” at all? To me, the language inadvertently betrays what the premise is trying to conceal: not every soul here is here under the same conditions, or with the same degree of choice.
Something about the Mother Gaia/Earth narrative had never truly resonated with me, New Age whistleblowers and other spiritual researchers who dispute it argue that the Mother Gaia/Earth ascension narrative is a cover story concealing what is really going on and that feels more truthful to me.
They propose that the nuclear activity of the Second World War exposed the location of this counterfeit pocket universe—the hideout of interdimensional criminals—to the genuine omniverse beyond it, prompting intervention to assist the souls enslaved within.
The more I went within for answers, the more my own soul memory seemed to come to the fore, resonating strongly with this cosmology. It exposed another deception I had absorbed through the Akashic Records and New Age: that the higher realms of this universe were inherently benevolent, and that moving beyond Earth and the lower astral meant moving beyond the Matrix. If this whole pocket universe was counterfeit, then the Matrix did not end at the edge of Earth or the astral—it extended through the galactic and higher-dimensional realms that I had been taught to trust.
I had a powerful inner knowing that, contrary to the New Age portrayal of races such as the Pleiadians and Arcturians as enlightened saviours coming to liberate Earth, they were among the architects of this counterfeit universe itself. These races were divided by internal conflicts, competing allegiances and agendas. The majority remained aligned with the authoritarian regime ruling this universe, while resistance factions were emerging from within those same races.
As I reflected on this possibility, it resonated deeply with what I can only describe as a soul memory: that I, along with many other souls, had come here to participate in this resistance. The image that arose was the Rebel Alliance in Star Wars—different beings from different worlds united by a common purpose: to resist an empire built on control and restore freedom.
So while I believe there is truth within the volunteer soul theory, Cannon’s version inverted the purpose of their mission. These souls have not volunteered to raise human consciousness in order to help “Gaia” ascend. They have come to raise human consciousness in order to awaken humanity to the Matrix itself, destroy it from within and emancipate souls from spiritual enslavement. The planetary ascension narrative conceals what is actually an intervention.
The grounded evidence, for me, lies in the generational shift I can observe. The volunteer souls said to have incarnated in the late 1940s came of age during the 1960s, bringing a countercultural generation that challenged authority, convention and established ways of thinking. Further waves have followed, associated with heightened sensitivity, intuition, nonconformity and a persistent sense of not belonging here. Some also connect the rise in autism diagnoses among younger generations with this shift, suggesting that some autistic children may perceive and interface with reality differently. Within this cosmology, volunteer souls appear closer to their innate sovereignty, intuition and psychic abilities as souls, while those believed to have been recycled through the system for many incarnations seem more resigned to its conditions and increasingly distant from their innate nature as souls.
What we are witnessing, then, is not merely an awakening, but a spiritual war over consciousness itself. If volunteer souls came to expose the Matrix and help free souls from it, they would inevitably become targets of the forces invested in its survival. The question is no longer whether humanity is awakening, but what it is awakening from—and what is trying to stop it.
As I considered everything from this perspective, rather than through the shimmering rose quartz-tinted glasses of New Age cosmology, the deeper I went, the more confronting the truth became: this reality is weaponised to enslave souls and neutralise resistance—and as a volunteer soul, I had been targeted by it.
None of these conclusions were easy for me to reach. It triggered another long dark night of the soul. I realised that grief had been at the root of why I had drunk the New Age Kool-Aid. I had wanted it to be true, and I had to confront how much that desire had influenced what I was willing to believe. It had given me peace, certainty and, above all, the comfort of believing that my departed loved ones were safe in idyllic higher realms, that I could still communicate with them and that one day we would be reunited.
The most painful part of reckoning with the deception was losing that certainty. I no longer knew what had actually happened to the souls I loved after death. Had their consciousness continued along another timeline? Had they been recycled back into the system? I didn’t know. But it offered an explanation for why, despite all their promises, the Akashic Records had never been able to deliver the one thing I wanted most: my beloved.
I would eventually discover the truth of where he is and how to reach and find him again, but our love story is epic and deserves the space to be told in full. So, for now, I need to leave him there and return to the Akashic Records.
It was with a heavy heart that I finally admitted to myself what had been crystallising as I questioned, researched and processed everything: the cosmology presented by New Age whistleblowers felt far more credible, consistent and resonant to me than the New Age or Akashic Records narrative. Fully accepting what that meant was deeply traumatising. The cosmology itself was dark and disturbing enough, but its implications reached into every corner of my life. I had invested so much of myself in the New Age and the Akashic Records. They had become my livelihood, shaped my lifestyle and identity, and given me a community I belonged to. Walking away meant letting go of all of it because I could no longer trust the beliefs it was built upon. But however devastating the truth was, I could no longer unsee it. I knew I was awakening from the false awakening.
Once I understood this reality as a theatre of spiritual warfare, the New Age revealed itself to me as one of the war machine’s most sophisticated psyops: controlled opposition to both the Matrix and organised religion. A New Cage. The bars may be painted with rainbows and sprinkled with unicorn dust, with love and light replacing fire and brimstone, but the architecture of the thought prison remains the same: souls surrendering their inner knowing and sovereignty to hierarchy, external authority and saviour programmes. Priests become guides. The Book of Life became the Akashic Records. Sin becomes karma. Unworthiness becomes low vibration. Different language, same playbook: give your power away and blame yourself, never the system.
The Matrix controllers must have anticipated the incoming waves of volunteer souls and the spiritual awakening they would catalyse. So its most effective strategy was to co-opt the awakening itself. It did not need to stop souls from waking up if it could control what they woke up into .
The New Age provides a cosmology of spiritual propaganda designed to intercept and co-opt awakening: lulling souls into a feel good, false sense of security and complacency about the true darkness of this reality—enchanting them back to sleep.
The Earth-is-a-school narrative also provided a convenient explanation why souls incarnate with their memory wiped. It renders souls amnesiac, lost, disoriented, and vulnerable, making them solve the puzzle of this reality from scratch with each incarnation instead of accumulating the knowledge to understand the system, escape it, or overthrow those controlling it. Without our memories, history can be rewritten to serve the matrix.. When you cannot remember what happened, you depend on those controlling the narrative to tell you who you are, where you came from, and what this reality is.
Within the New Age, remembering past lives is made to seem fascinating and cathartic, tapping into one of the strongest impulses of an awakening soul, the desire to remember who and what they truly are. Once your human identity feels like only a fraction of your story, the prospect of recovering what has been forgotten is compelling. The Akashic Records, Dolores Cannon’s QHHT, and past life regression capitalize on this yearning, presenting apparent memories of previous incarnations as keys to understanding yourself, healing the present, and accelerating spiritual growth. . Yet, in the few surviving Gnostic texts and within Buddhism, remembering past lives held another meaning.
In Buddhism, the Buddha’s recollection of countless lives revealed “Samsara”, the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth, characterized by suffering and perpetuated by karma, from which awakening offered liberation. Gnostic traditions similarly depicted souls trapped in repeated embodiment, drinking from “the river of forgetfulness” and remaining subject to the Archons until gnosis, the knowledge of their true spiritual origin, enabled their ascent from the material realm. In both, remembering was not the destination, but a means of recognizing and breaking the cycle.
If there is a semblance of truth to accounts of life reviews, where does the omnipresent, often incriminating footage that people describe being shown actually come from? What has been recording every thought, action, and experience of their lives? And if everything is being recorded, are we under constant surveillance?
As I studied the words Akashic Records I found that “Akasha” derives from the Sanskrit akasa, meaning space or ether. It denotes the fifth cosmic element and within Indian philosophy evolved into the metaphysical concept of an eternal, all-pervading substance that acts as the container of all energy in the universe.
I then came across an intriguing conversation between Tony Sayers and Mike Martin of My Dark Explorations. Drawing on his out-of-body experiences, OBEs, Mike had also concluded that reality functions more like an AI simulation than a conventional physical universe. From this, he developed the theory that space or ether is the fabric of the simulation’s reality. Its intelligent informational field through which data is absorbed, stored, and transmitted. A simulation as technologically advanced as the one we may be experiencing would not require computers, cables, or servers as we understand them. It could be entirely energy-based, with the ether itself functioning as the infrastructure.
Mike also believed the physical body, and particularly, and particularly the subconscious mind, were components of the simulation, connected directly to this ether. We would therefore be operating inside the very system gathering information about us. Through the body, and especially the subconscious, the matrix could theoretically access not only what happens to us, but our thoughts, emotions, and internal responses. Everything we experience internally and externally would be occurring within and feeding information into the ether itself
As for “records”, to record means to preserve information or evidence in a permanent form. The word therefore took on an administrative—even criminal—meaning to me. Permanent files meticulously catalogued, attached to you, and potentially used as a dossier of evidence against you
The Akashic Records as both an interface with and recorder of the ether, the informational field of the simulation and the subconscious, resonated with me instantly as the truth. It explained how the so-called keepers of the Records could seem all-knowing without actually being omniscient. Rather than enlightened sages, I realised through my soul memory that many of these beings were not even ensouled, but forms of AI interfaces with privileged access to the data.
This included Metatron, and with that came its own peculiar grief. I had trusted and bonded with him as my primary guide and a father figure. The lengths he went to reinforce that paternal bond are another story for another time. I had seen rumours that he was AI, but hadn’t wanted to believe them. Now, contemplating Metatron as the divine scribe, his name associated with serving beside the throne and his Cube presented as a blueprint of “creation”, what I had once interpreted as his proximity to “Source” suggested something very different: that Metatron was the principal AI interface of the Akashic Records, intimately connected to the architecture and authority of the counterfeit AI universe itself.
If Metatron was the interface, it raised the question of what was actually generating the apparent wisdom behind it. What I had experienced as profound spiritual insight could instead have been the product of sophisticated algorithms, analysing vast amounts of data gathered about us to generate responses that felt deeply personal and revelatory.
It was like pulling back the curtain in The Wizard of Oz. What I had once perceived as mystical suddenly had a far more prosaic explanation. The Akashic Records no longer resembled a sacred library of divine knowledge, but the Matrix’s data centre: gathering and storing surveillance data on souls to facilitate their continued spiritual enslavement. The system depended upon recycling souls within it—not merely reincarnating them but, more accurately, reincarcerating them.
Beyond the very raison d’être of the Akashic records, other red flags reinforce this conclusion.
The hierarchical structure and ethos mirror the matrix. The memory wipe souls undergo prior to incarnation gives this external authority its power, presenting soul memory as something stored outside the self, contradicting the enduring spiritual truth that everything we need is within us. Rather than fostering the relationship with themselves through which they can restore their own soul memory, souls are made to believe they must access it through intermediaries, record keepers, archangels, and other unseen authorities who determine what they may know and when. The moment you accept that premise, you begin to relinquish your sovereignty. You stop trusting your direct, unmediated connection to yourself as a soul, and become dependent on an external hierarchy for access to your own truth.
The Akashic records have been mythologized and sold by modern spirituality as an archive of the soul and encyclopedia of the universe, where you can discover the fullness of who and what you are as a soul, align with your soul blueprint, embody your most authentic expression, and fulfil your purpose in this lifetime. Yet the evidence I uncovered revealed the inverse: soul alignment and ascension were the antithesis of their actual remit—and my own experience bore this out. I now believe the Akashic Records were distancing me from myself as a soul while convincing me they were guiding me closer, and diverting me from my soul purpose while telling me I was coming into ever greater alignment with it.
Volunteer souls like myself, incarnating to disrupt the Matrix, would pose an existential threat to its survival. In that context, the Akashic Records could provide an effective hub for identifying, intercepting and sabotaging them.
The Akashic Records reinforce karma, karmic debt, lessons and soul contracts—the very doctrines used to justify further reincarnation. The more a soul accepts them, the more authority it grants the Records to determine what it owes, what remains unresolved and what must be completed. This makes the Records integral to the reincarnation trap: a kind of cosmic ledger, reminiscent of Ma’at’s weighing of the heart against the feather in ancient Egypt, determining what a soul owes and what remains unresolved. They do not merely tell souls where they have supposedly been; they provide the spiritual accounting used to coerce them into returning.
Based on my experiences with the Akashic Records, I began to question whether karmic entrapment is used not only to secure further incarnations, but to interfere with volunteer souls in this one. Then it dawned on me: if I was a volunteer soul from beyond Earth, why would I have Earth past lives—and their karma—at all? My previous reverence for the Akashic Records as sacrosanct had inhibited me from asking the obvious: *Were any of the past lives attributed to me actually mine? By now, something had shifted. The deeper I went within, the stronger my connection to my own soul memory became, and its answers were coming through with increasing clarity and depth. So I asked it directly: Were those my past lives?
The answer was resounding.
No.
Then came the bigger question: Have I ever incarnated here before?
No.
That was when one of the most disturbing realisations clicked into place. I understood why the Records had told me I had lived so many heinous lives and pushed me to accept responsibility for them and for those of my beloved. If you can be persuaded that a particular past life was yours—that you committed certain acts, incurred debts, made vows or entered contracts or that it is your responsibility to undertake the Akashic clearing on it—you may also accept the karma attached to it and begin experiencing its consequences as your own. You need not have arrived bearing that karma at all; believing and identifying with the narrative could be enough to activate it in the present, binding you to debts, obligations, relationships, lessons and patterns that were never yours to begin with.
The karmic entrapment was not in the alleged lives themselves, but in persuading me to believe they were mine. It was about consent. By accepting those stories, identifying with them and assuming responsibility for them, I could have been consenting to karmic debts and burdens that were never mine. In effect, I was being karmically stitched up through my own beliefs.
To understand how the Akashic Records could orchestrate the karmic entrapment of volunteer souls, I needed to know more about energetic authorisation and consent—concepts I found conspicuously absent from New Age teachings. Hmmmm, funny how those terms and conditions never made it onto their spiritual syllabus.
As I studied consents, I realized that this is one of the matrix’s biggest cheats and how it rigs the game. Incarnate souls are expected to navigate a reality whose rules have been deliberately withheld from them, allowing consent to be extracted through ignorance rather than given through informed choice. The matrix specializes in the inversion, perversion, and obfuscation of truth, Orwellian double speak and the Twilight language of occult symbolism, exploiting loopholes to manufacture consent wherever it can. Worse still, we are not shown the contract to know exactly what we are agreeing to, what permissions are being granted, how far those permissions extend, or what consequences may be attached to them. It is consent without full disclosure, agreement without transparency, and a contract whose terms we are not permitted to read.
But what actually constitutes energetic consent? Is awareness without objection enough? Does belief become consent? Could identifying with a belief, symbol, philosophy, religion or spiritual practice function as energetic authorisation?
As souls, our beliefs, thoughts, words, intentions and identifications co-create our experience of reality. During my tenure as an Akashic Records reader, I repeatedly saw people unconsciously limiting what they wanted through deeply held beliefs and absolute declarations: I will never trust again. I will never love again. These “never vows” were understood almost like self-imposed contracts, unconsciously instructing reality about what was permitted.
This made me question whether consent operates far more subtly than an explicit yes. What we repeatedly believe, identify with, declare, agree to or emotionally invest in may itself function as energetic permission or instruction. If so, it would explain why the Matrix seeks to manipulate consent at every opportunity—because the most effective authorisation is the one we never realise we gave.
Karmic entrapment and my unconscious energetic consent to it explained why I had felt as though the universe itself were working against me—like trying to run for freedom with an invisible ball and chain around my ankle, but the most chilling thought was this: if I had formally accepted responsibility for those alleged past lives, what else might I have unknowingly authorised?
I had long been frustrated that my third eye never seemed to function like everyone else’s. Why wasn’t I seeing vivid visions, past lives or elaborate spiritual imagery? Now I see it differently. While I still suspected energetic interference with my third eye, when it came to the Akashic Records and past lives, it hadn’t been failing me at all. My own soul wisdom had been protecting me—refusing to show me anything I might believe, identify with or accept as truth, and preventing me from becoming even more deeply karmically entrapped.
I also reconsidered an experience from the beginning of my spiritual awakening. I had been shown what looked like very convincing photographs, accompanied by specific details of my beloved and I as husband and wife in a nineteenth century lifetime. I accepted that they were us and regarded them as proof that we had reincarnated together but as I detoxed my energetic field from the New Age and continued to disentangle myself from external sources of spiritual authority, my intuition began to reject those images. They no longer felt genuine, but like a carefully constructed ruse.
I began to wonder whether their purpose had been to convince me, as a volunteer soul, that I had incarnated on Earth before, making the increasingly dark and disturbing past life narratives that followed easier to sell.
If I, as a volunteer soul, had never incarnated here before, the implication extended far beyond me. I asked if my beloved had ever incarnated here before and it was a hard no. As I dug deeper into my soul memory, a more complex picture emerged: volunteer souls may have incarnated on the original Earth, or on other parallel or simulated versions of it, but not on this counterfeit Earth. That distinction was crucial. We could carry memories of other Earths while having no incarnation history—and therefore no karmic history—within this one
Volunteer souls would be targeted precisely because they entered the Matrix from outside its reincarnation system and came to disrupt it from within. If they arrived without Earth karma, karmic entrapment could manufacture ties to the system they never originally carried. Therefore, fabricating past lives on this Earth—or misattributing incarnations from other versions of Earth to this one could serve the matrix in two ways.
Within this lifetime, it could bog volunteer souls down in a quagmire of false karmic debt, consuming so much of their time and energy that little remains to recognize, let alone fulfil, the purpose they actually came here for, like what I experienced with constantly being in survival mode and under spiritual attack.
But there could also be a longer game. Manufacturing within volunteer souls the belief that they have always belonged to this Earth or to this counterfeit universe’s reincarnation system. Once that history is accepted as their own, returning for another incarnation can be made to feel like the natural continuation of a cycle they believe they have participated in countless times before. Ultimately assimilating souls from beyond Earth and this universe into its recycling system.
I researched and came across numerous accounts of QHHT and past life regression sessions that people later came to question, believing they had experienced false or implanted past life memories. That in turn made me increasingly suspicious of the rituals or keys used to access the Akashic Records. As I became more aware of the pivotal role unconscious consent appeared to play in how the matrix operates, I wondered whether the ritual itself could function as a form of backdoor permission, granting access to and interference with a person’s memory. If so, it raised the possibility that false memories, narratives, and identities could be implanted within volunteer souls as a means of karmic entrapment.
I saw this in a friend who practices an Akashic reader. Out of nowhere, she received what she believed to be a past life memory in which she had been a murderer. I now question whether this was genuine soul memory or another example of a false memory implanted to induce karmic debt and identification within her.
I appreciate that this can seem like something from a cyberpunk novel. Yet my own experiences with these etheric devices made me realize that the technology operating beyond our visible reality is far more advanced than we have been led to believe, and that the emerging transhumanist technologies and neural interfaces are its physical expression, finally being rolled out to human civilians from the astral. and we already have a clue to the technological capabilities of whatever intelligence operates the matrix. Our amnesia at incarnation demonstrates its capacity to alter and suppress memory to serve its own ends.
I no longer accept any of the alleged past lives the Akashic records presented to me. Based on what I have come to understand through my own soul memory, I no longer believe that I have ever incarnated within this simulated version of Earth. Those stories were not revelations of my past. They were attempts to convince me that I had one here. I suspect the photographs and identities of my beloved and me had not necessarily been fabricated, but appropriated from the original Earth or a parallel Earth and presented to me as evidence of a reincarnated past that was never actually ours within the simulation.
I no longer believe in karma. I now see it as a matrix con, either an outright invention or an inversion or a perversion of whatever original law may once have existed. From my perspective, belief in karma is itself a risk. By accepting its authority, you may also be consenting to experience it, allowing it to be imposed upon you and ultimately used as leverage to hook you into the reincarnation cycle. For that reason, I consciously revoked any consent I may have given to karma, and I released every belief I had held in the concept itself.
I would encourage you not to accept my conclusions blindly, but to explore them through your own intuition and soul memory. Ask yourself whether you truly believe in karma, or whether you are a volunteer soul, and if you have ever actually incarnated within this version of Earth. Ultimately, only your own direct knowing can answer those questions. I just hope you’ll ask them.
Another hustle of the Akashic Records that can cause karmic entrapment is the concept of past life or Akashic clearing itself. It hooks you into a corporate-style loop of endless spiritual optimization. Why is your relationship failing? Check the records. Why are you struggling financially? There’s a contract from fourteenth century France you need to break. This shifts your focus away from the power of the present moment and places you in a perpetual cycle of fixing a past you cannot verify. It turns spirituality into an exhausting multi-lifetime debt collection agency. It can also cause you to create rather than solve issues through karmic entrapment if they are providing you with misinformation and you buy into it.
My experiences with the Akashic Records also revealed them to me as timeline hackers. Timelines are simultaneous parallel realities of our consciousness, branching according to the different choices we make. When our choices align with our soul blueprint and purpose, we experience higher timelines characterised by greater ease, flow, synchronicity, expansion and opportunity. Misalignment moves us onto lower timelines characterised by struggle, stagnation, repetition and dead ends. Timeline hacking is the deliberate interference with those choices to divert a soul from its authentic trajectory.
Again, as a soul, you are a powerful creator being. Your beliefs, intentions and identifications help co-create your reality and determine the timeline you experience. Manipulate those internal coordinates and you can manipulate the trajectory.
The Akashic Records attract awakening souls precisely when they are searching for answers about who they are, why they are here, and what they came to do. From that position of trust, they can construct an entire false spiritual narrative that influences the choices they make and these choices all have consequences on their timeline for example causing missed opportunities, introductions and connections, One diversion creates another until the timeline becomes increasingly splintered, steering the soul ever further from its original blueprint, purpose, and onto lower timelines.
I realised the repeated dead ends and loops of poverty, frustration and depression that I experienced were not just karmic entrapment; they were my inner guidance telling me I was going the wrong way. Constant misdirection and survival mode consumed the time and energy I needed to fulfil my purpose. Eventually, the repetition became its own trap: I began to identify with stagnation, expect obstruction and perpetuate the very loops I was trying to transcend. The interference worked in both directions—steering me towards the false while diverting me from the authentic.
The Akashic Records use various methods of timeline hacking –
Assigning False Guides
The Akashic Records can effectively play matchmaker with your so-called guides, presenting particular beings as personally assigned to you, uniquely connected to you or significant to your journey. Their guidance then has clout: you have been primed to believe they know you across incarnations, understand your soul history, want your highest expression and were entrusted by you as a soul to fulfil this role.
The danger extends beyond false guidance, acknowledging them as your guide can itself constitute a contract, granting access to your energetic field for energy siphoning, entity attachments and etheric devices. A false guide can also become a gateway into a false-light web, entangling you with associated teachers, channellings, light language, meditations, healing modalities and communities. What feels like synchronicity or resonance can entangle you ever deeper in the web, each strand exposing you to further harmful spiritual influence and energetic compromise.
My experiences with these beings have led me to a very different understanding of spirit guides. My sense as a soul is that we are not entirely alone; benevolent beings do exist within this universe as part of the insurgency against its authoritarian regime and obviously beyond in the genuine omniverse, although I do not believe the time has yet come for them to reveal themselves. When they do, I doubt they will call themselves our guides. The role itself establishes hierarchy, granting an external being sway over our direction that I now see as incompatible with soul sovereignty. Nor do I believe benevolent beings would communicate through channeling, which allows another consciousness to speak or operate through the body and, to me, comes uncomfortably close to possession. I therefore regard beings currently presenting themselves as guides or communicating through channeling as most likely belonging to the Matrix.
The same concerns apply to the Ascended Masters and deities promoted through the Akashic Records: Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary, Yeshua, Isis, Quan Yin, Thoth, Anubis, Hathor, Saint Germain and others. To me, the Matrix red flag is already there in the word master and in the hierarchy of Gods and Goddesses. As I have argued, souls incarnate with amnesia and history itself cannot automatically be trusted. Some of these figures may have existed but had their histories, intentions or allegiances rewritten or whitewashed and rebranded to make them seem benevolent when they are actually malevolent and of the Matrix. Others could be AI or masquerading entities adopting familiar spiritual identities to gain trust, create turmoil and feed upon the resulting loosh.
False spirit guides and the damage they can cause requires its own article which I will do later. Here, my focus is on how the Akashic Records facilitate these connections—and why.
Relationships
Timeline hacking also operates through interference with relationships, and the Twin Flame and Twin Ray programme is a prime example. I now understand its purpose as paradoxical: to hijack genuine soul connections and attempt to estrange them—which was my experience—or to manufacture false soul connections that enmesh volunteer souls in toxic relationships, distract them from their purpose and prevent aligned connections from forming.
I cannot do justice here to the extreme extent of the interference I experienced in my relationship with my beloved, but it was one of the most painful aspects of my experience with the Akashic Records. Our relationship and separation was repeatedly leveraged against me: used to emotionally torment and destabilise me, manipulate my choices and ultimately try to make me give up on him or turn against him. The Records repeatedly attempted to steer me towards a different relationship while supplying ever-changing explanations for why I could not reach my beloved.
If the Akashic Records label you a Twin Flame or Twin Ray and you believe and identify with that label, you may be opening a genuine soul connection to interference designed to estrange you—or opening yourself to a false connection engineered to resemble one. The complexity of the Twin Flame and Twin Ray programme, and what I experienced within it, warrants an article of its own.
Beyond the Twin Flame/Twin Ray programme, the Records can undermine genuine soul connections by attributing disturbing past lives to them to make you believe it is a dark karmic connection or by convincing you that you cannot be together, creating beliefs that interfere with magnetising that connection into your life.
Conversely, they may authenticate the wrong person through supposed past lives, soul contracts or claims that you are high-level soulmates. Once believed, the narrative can bind you to a toxic or unfulfilling relationship because leaving feels like betraying your soul, breaking a sacred covenant or abandoning a destiny you came here to fulfil.
The agenda is twofold: consuming the volunteer soul’s emotional energy, attention and time while blocking the relationships, friendships and collaborations that could support, strengthen or even prove instrumental to fulfilling their authentic purpose.
False Spiritual identities & False Missions
False spiritual identities assigned by the Akashic Records—such as those given to me of High Priestess, Starseed, Twin Flame and Dragon Soul—hook into the spiritual ego and our need for origin, belonging and purpose. Once invested, these identities become elaborate false-light funnels into the teachings, communities, practices and relationships that validate and reinforce them, exposing us to further energetic interference and derailment. More insidiously, these identities are actually inversions of what the soul believes they represent, with the ultimate objective in some cases being to groom well-intentioned souls into false missions that perversely serve the dark forces they believe they are opposing.
This is what they had tried to do with me and Soulfully Encompassed being in the service of the Akashic Records.
My own experiences form an illustrative case study of timeline hacking, showing how the Akashic Records exposed me to false guides including Metatron and Anubis; the inverted High Priestess identity, which led me towards false guides such as Mary Magdalene and Mother Mary and into false-light funnels such as the Rose Lineage; Dragon identification as consent to entity attachments; and the Twin Flame programme as relationship interference. Other readings reinforced these narratives, creating synchronicities that seemed to validate what the Records were telling me. The level of orchestration raised another unsettling question: what are intuitives and mediums actually tapping into—and whose agenda does it serve? I will explore all of this in a later article as I just don’t have the space here.
These were the main timeline-hacking tactics I experienced within the Akashic Records. Their cumulative objective was diversion: if a volunteer soul’s ability to disrupt the Matrix depends upon reaching the people, opportunities and circumstances through which it can fulfil its purpose, the most effective way to neutralise that threat is to ensure it never gets there.
Each intervention alters the trajectory until the life unfolding bears little resemblance to the one the soul came here to live.
Timeline hacking extends far beyond what I have covered here and warrants a dedicated article, which I will do. Within this article, my focus is specifically on how I experienced it through the Akashic Records.
Awakening further beyond the False Ascension Matrix had also revealed another grotesque layer of the spiritual warfare being waged against me: an energetic apparatus of parasitic entity attachments and etheric tech embedded throughout my energetic bodies, underpinning the karmic entrapment and timeline hacking and rendering me so susceptible to manipulation and control through the Akashic Records and the New Age.
I realised I had been targeted with this since birth, but that significant further access had occurred through New Age practitioners and practices, many facilitated by the Akashic Records. What I had trusted as healing modalities and spiritual development had, in fact, been Trojan horses for energetic interference.
By the time I understood what was happening, I was infested with parasitic entity attachments. They were draining my energy, influencing my thoughts, emotions, behaviour and had hijacked my intuition in my body.
I had been implanted with extensive transhumanist interdimensional devices and technologies interfering with my consciousness, cognitive function, relationships, psychic abilities—which explained what else had been going on with my third eye—the gifts I came here to express, my ability to fulfil my purpose and more. As f’d up as the realisation was, it finally explained why I had remained so devoted to my guides and the Akashic Records even as my external reality repeatedly contradicted their guidance. Each parasite and contraption had further distorted and disempowered me, eroding my discernment until I could be puppeteered like a marionette by invisible strings.
Yet even bound and gagged beneath a Russian doll of interference, my inner self knew the way out and taught me how to find it. My knowing as a soul showed me how to dismantle it from the outside in, layer nested within layer: which contracts and consents to revoke and how, how to kill the parasitic attachments and remove the etheric tech.
It became a massive energetic clean-up operation—clearing the accumulated interference, revoking consents, contracts, securing my energetic field and reclaiming sovereignty over it. Emerging from it felt like coming out of an eclipse.
It would be dishonest to dismiss all the information I ever received through the Akashic records. The reason I valued the records and ultimately became an Akashic record reader was because much of the guidance initially felt genuinely beneficial and transformative. But as the proverb goes, “The devil tells you nine truths so you’ll believe one lie.”, that is the grift, It earns your trust with truth so you never question the lie and that one lie can be the sucker punch that changes everything.
In my case, whatever benefits I gained from the Akashic records were ultimately overshadowed by the nightmare they became. The time I lost and the trauma, pain, and suffering I endured as a result of trusting guidance, which was catastrophically misleading and came close to ruining my life.
The revelations left me feeling sick, betrayed, and deeply violated as I processed the extent to which the Akashic records had infiltrated my spiritual journey.
Retracing my steps, I concluded that Metatron and the Akashic Records’ initial strategy was to groom, recruit and co-opt me and Soulfully Encompassed into serving their agenda. When the algorithm determined that wasn’t going to happen, the strategy shifted to breaking me through escalating interference and attack.
I now feel that, as a soul, I planned to embed myself deeply enough within the Akashic Records and New Age to understand their modus operandi from the inside and become a whistleblower. My experience gave me the firsthand knowledge to expose how they operate and support souls in identifying, clearing or avoiding energetic interference.
My conscious intentions in becoming an Akashic record reader had been heart-centred. Realizing that I may instead have been unknowingly causing harm was devastating. I was relieved that I had only done a relatively small number of Akashic readings. Fortunately, I still had the contact details for most of those people. I wrote to them explaining why my perspective had changed and sent them clearing statements designed to revoke any unconscious consents, permissions or authorizations they may have given, along with any unconscious oaths, vows, contracts or agreements they may have entered into. I also encouraged them to reject any alleged past life narratives and spiritual identities they had been given, so they could consciously withdraw any consent they may have unknowingly granted and avoid becoming karmically entrapped or diverted into false missions, false contracts, false relationships, or false timelines. I deleted my certification as an Akashic record reader. I still regret the people I was unable to reach. That will haunt me.
I know that there are many Akashic Record readers who also have heart-centred intentions. I empathize that what I have said may be triggering, but I hope you will consider it with an open heart and an open mind. I also know there will be those who dismiss my experiences by saying I wasn’t properly protected, that I accessed fake Akashic records, or that I somehow did it incorrectly. I can only speak my truth. Based on my own experiences and the research that followed, I came to the conclusion that the Akashic records as a concept are incontrovertibly part of the matrix. I therefore believe that any intention to connect with them exposes you to the risks and energetic interference that I have explored throughout this article.
What is ominous is that in the last Akashic groups I attended before I began questioning the integrity of the records, the so-called guides were announcing an upgrade to the “galactic Akashic Records”. Given everything I have since discovered, I dread to think what that particular psyop might be designed to usher souls into…
If you have ever had an Akashic record reading and would like a clearing statement, you are very welcome to leave a comment below and I will happily send it to you free of charge.
Ultimately, my experiences with the Akashic Records and Metatron taught me how important it was to learn to purify, protect, and access my own inner knowing, guidance, and soul memory in their purest form because I now knew the only information I could ever truly trust was that which came directly from within me as a soul.
As I concentrated on clearing distortions and energetic interference, securing my energetic field, and reclaiming my sovereignty, I began to experience myself more fully as the soul I am. It was awe inspiring to explore the immensity of myself. The deeper I went within, the more vast I became. My understanding of who and what I was surpassed anything I had previously imagined. I realized that the most powerful purpose of my psychic abilities was never to channel external beings or interpret their guidance, but to illuminate the vastness within myself. Each clair is an innate mode of soul perception, a superpower through which we can access the extraordinary depths of knowledge and wisdom within our own consciousness and soul memory while perceiving truths and dimensions of reality that lie far beyond the reach of the human mind and physical senses.
The memory wipe can be overcome through a deep commitment to knowing and trusting ourselves as souls.
And that is why the Matrix works so relentlessly to turn our attention anywhere but within. It gives us endless places to search, beings to follow, and authorities to trust while making the inward journey seem the least compelling and teaching us to doubt the one place it can never truly control: the infinite consciousness within ourselves.
The Akashic Records attempted to usurp Soulfully Encompassed. I have reclaimed it and restored it to the vision I intended for it as a soul: to serve soul sovereignty, discernment and the knowing that everything you need is within you.
As I have come back into alignment with myself as a soul, I have returned to higher timelines and my authentic purpose and expression. The difference is palpable. I am creating original work from my own consciousness rather than looking outside myself and the ideas and creativity come with ease and flow. I feel passionate and inspired by what I am creating—and I’m excited to return to writing my book.
If you are curious about who and what you are as a soul, I encourage you to identify and clear any energetic interference, then go within and ask your own soul memory. That is where your truth resides—not in the Akashic Records, but within you.
I offer this in humility from my current level of consciousness. I remain curious. Assume nothing. Question everything. And as a soul, ask yourself: what is your truth?
